Designing the creation of images is unique to every artist. What is original is always present. What is derivative is always present. But I like to think that the manipulation of one’s own hand plays the most important part to giving those images their individual life, leaving their pattern with recognizable constancy, and their surface with distinctive passion. The composition within each work, to itself, and the composition outside each work to the whole body of one’s efforts causes a balanced conjunction of personal style, or styles to occur.
